In this trendy home, our Cinzento dealer: Van de Steeg Parket installed a stunning rustic oak herringbone floor by Cinzento Custom Made®. The floor flows stylishly from the living room to the kitchen and into a playful nook – a cosy and practical space between the two areas made especially for the children. The warm atmosphere of the wooden floor is beautifully present throughout the house.
Notable design features include the steel-framed doors between the hallway, kitchen, and living room. These create a spacious, industrial look that pairs perfectly with the chosen floor. Another true eye-catcher is the glass fireplace built into the wall between the kitchen and living room. The mix of glass, steel, and wood adds a luxurious and characterful touch to the interior.
This herringbone floor is crafted from rustic A/B grade oak without bevels. Each plank measures 15 mm thick, 140 mm wide, and 700 mm long. The floor has been stained and oiled, resulting in a deep, warm vanilla hue (Cinzento No. 42470), while also offering excellent protection against daily wear and tear.
Besides its aesthetic appeal, this wooden floor offers great comfort and practicality. Thanks to the combination of stain and oil, it is well protected against stains and wear, making it ideal for a family home. The warm vanilla colour perfectly complements the modern interior and brings a calm, inviting atmosphere to every room. The use of oak in a herringbone pattern gives the floor a timeless character. It adds consistency and luxury from the kitchen to the living room, and even to the children’s play area.
Our wooden floors are fully compatible with underfloor heating, which is also applied in this project. This ensures not only pleasant warmth but also contributes to the overall comfort and energy efficiency of the home.
